is an Inuk advocate, law student, and storyteller with family roots in Kuujjuaq, Nunavik and Kangiqliniq, Nunavut. Born and raised in Victoria, she is passionate about cultural reconnection and uplifting Indigenous youth.
Katelynne holds a BA in Justice Studies and a Master’s in Geography focused on Indigenous youth, gender, and economic justice, and is currently studying law at McGill University. Katelynne co-hosts Spilling Labrador Tea Under Cedar Trees, a podcast amplifying Indigenous voices, stories, and leadership.
Katelynne’s commitment to community and inclusion has been recognized with the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Democracy, Inclusion, and Reconciliation. She also has international experience in human rights and development work, including serving as a delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
Her work centers on community, visibility, and creating space for Indigenous youth to lead with confidence and pride.
